The last weekend in May 2023 was the 80th anniversary of the Battle of the Atlantic. I was lucky to get some limited tickets to go on a vintage bus tour of the Cammell Laird docks. During the war they were producing a brand new ship every 17 days! These were a mix of either warship, aircraft carrier or submarine. On Saturday 27th May in 1943 they had in production, 6 submarines, 2 aircraft carriers and 4 frigates. 
After the tour I just made it to the top of Birkenhead Priory and saw the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight going low level down the Mersey. I wasn't aware they were flying and it came as a surprise to me! (I had the wrong lens on the camera)
