I was based in Afghanistan for a period of time in 2013 and 2014. Whilst I was there I took some pictures of the blast walls that protected troops and aircraft. Below is a selection of the better ones I captures. Kindly note that I didn't have a good quality camera. All the pictures were taken either on my iPod or a cheap digital camera.
These walls were painted by serving military personnel and using limited tools, paint and equipment.
